Greek Property Regulations

The legal side of buying with ZanteSun Villas

You will need to have a Greek tax number before you purchase. This can be obtained with a simple trip to the tax office.

Once a price for your villa is agreed, a deposit can be paid and the agreement signed for the sale with a date set for the whole amount to be paid (or stage payments can be arranged at various stages of completion).

If the sale does not go through due to a problem on the vendors side you will be entitled to twice the amount of deposit paid back!

Our solicitors speak excellent English and will help and advise you. You must by law have 2 solicitors and 1 notary at any sale. This is to ensure that all parties fully understand the proceeding.

Your purchase will be entered into a land registry book and all property is freehold - once paid for it is yours .

You should allow 19% of the purchase price for taxes and legal fees only the purchaser pays taxes.

We have English speaking architects waiting to help you design your dream villa!
